Nashville, TN – Sister duo Tigirlily Gold is number one most added at country radio this week with a total of 93 first week stations adding new single, “Forever From Here.” This is the most added first week song from a female duo/group since 2019. The wistful track is a nostalgic love letter to the Midwest, and a call back to the place that made them Tigirlily Gold…North Dakota.
Written by Tigirlily Gold’s Kendra Olson and Krista Slaubaugh, along with 4-time GRAMMY winner Shane McAnally and frequent collaborator Pete Good, and produced by Good, “Forever From Here” follows the success of top 30 single “I Tried A Ring On” and its predecessor, top 40 single “Shoot Tequila.”
“We were raised on 2000’s country and this song is unapologetically bright and nostalgic, just like all the songs we loved hearing on the radio growing up,” shares the duo. “We couldn’t be more excited for this song to kick off this next season of music from us.”
2024 proved to be the biggest year yet for the sister-duo, who were named the ACM New Duo/Group of the Year and were nominated for two CMT Awards and two People’s Choice Country Awards. They were named to Music Row’s “Next Big Thing” list, The Grand Ole Opry’s “Opry NextStage” class of 2025, performed at festivals like Faster Horses, C2C in London and Glasgow, and Tortuga Music Festival, and shared stages with artists like Kelsea Ballerini, Parker McCollum, and Walker Hayes. Sisters Kendra Olson and Krista Slaubaugh have been playing music together since they could walk and officially formed Tigirlily Gold when they were still teens. They spent their high school years growing a fierce fan base in their home-state of North Dakota, and after moving to Nashville, TN, cut their teeth by playing four-hour sets, three to four nights a week at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row on the city’s famed lower Broadway. In 2021 the duo signed with Monument Records and released their debut EP, working with multi-Grammy Award winner Shane McAnally. Last year they released their debut, full length album, Blonde – a deeply personal project that features top 40 radio single “Shoot Tequila,” along with follow-up, top 30 single, “I Tried A Ring On.” Tigirlily Gold has been nominated for two CMT Awards and two People’s Choice Country Awards and won the 2024 ACM Award for New Duo of the Year, where they performed “I Tried A Ring On” during the show to a national audience.
