NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Today, singer-songwriter Brandon Ratcliff releases “Drove Me Country” off his forthcoming debut album Tale of Two Towns. On the track, Ratcliff sings about rediscovering his roots and feeling alive again in country music. He sings:

Somewhere I’d just lost my way
But I’m running back to everything I ever ran from
I’m on my way, I’m on my way
Yeah I’m getting back to the home front

Written by Ratcliff with Multi-GRAMMY Award winner Shane McAnally, Pete Good, and AJ Babcock, and produced by Good with Babcock, “Drove Me Country” is available everywhere now. Listen HERE.

To coincide with the release of the new track, CMT premiered the  music video to “Drove Me Country.” It is the final video in a series that shares a split screen story of Ratcliff’s life – one side, his life if he had stayed in Cotton Valley, and the other, showing what it meant to leave. Watch the new video  HERE.

Last month, Brandon Ratcliff announced his forthcoming debut album, Tale of Two Towns, out on Monument Records – the next chapter in the Cotton Valley, Louisiana native’s life.

After releasing the title track, “Tale of Two Towns,” and three additional tracks, “Always Moving On,” “ Grow Apart,” and “Someone Who Believes In You,” “Drove Me Country” will be the last release before the arrival of the full album on Jan 6, 2023.

Tale of Two Towns is a sonic shift that Ratcliff has worked hard to identify since signing with Monument Records in 2018. After releasing his debut single, “Rules Of Breaking Up,” in October of that same year and accumulating over 50 million streams, he hit the road with Kelsea Ballerini and Brett Young, and opened dates for Keith Urban. He appeared on the Spotify Viral Chart and was selected as a Pandora Ones to Watch artist, while topping Rolling Stone’s all-genre Breakthrough Artists chart.

Then in 2020 when the world shut down, Ratcliff found himself at a crossroads with his music, his sound and his life, so he went back to the hometown he was so eager to leave. While there, he wrote nonstop, sharing truths he had never shared before, and put together what would become Tale of Town Towns. A career defining record that was not only influenced by the Louisiana bayous he grew up around, but also by the bluegrass music his mother made famous as Suzanne Cox of the legendary, multi-GRAMMY Award winning bluegrass group, The Cox Family

Now, Ratcliff is ready to release his most personal body of work to date with Tale of Two Towns, out January 6, 2023. Pre-Add/Pre-Save the album HERE.
