Monument Records Expands With New Radio Promotion Team

Promotion Team to Partner with Radio Through Regional Strategy, Katie McCartney Promoted to General Manager

Monument Records co-presidents Jason Owen and Shane McAnally are pleased to announce the addition of a promotion team, to be led by radio professional Drew Bland, overseeing three executives based in various regions across the country. Additionally, Katie McCartney will be promoted to General Manager, where she will continue to oversee the day-to-day label operations, marketing strategies, and staffed up team.

“There has never been a more crucial time to invest in music, and in the creative community we are all part of, and that’s what we’re doing with the expansion of Monument” said Owen. “We wanted a head of promotion that will approach radio as we approach everything we do, with a unique and limitless view. Drew’s background as a PD, and his overall vision for what a promotion staff can do, made him an obvious choice” said McAnally.
Joining Monument’s new promotion team will be Lisa Mastrianni as Director, Regional Promotion, and Katelyn Lester as Manager, Regional Promotion, along with one additional regional to be announced in the coming weeks. They will be responsible for partnering with stations, not only to garner airplay for their artist roster, but to learn and work with station priorities and to invest locally via press, college and brand events, and charitable initiatives to build and feed real fanbases.

“In an ever shifting landscape, it was important to keep the team small and nimble, and most importantly to find individuals that have unique views on how to thoroughly infiltrate markets on the ground level” said McCartney.

Platinum artist Walker Hayes will lead the team’s efforts at country radio with his new single “Trash My Heart” releasing digitally on April 24 and impacting radio in June.

Hayes will also be leading the Triple Play Tour with label-mates Teddy Robb and Brandon Ratcliff, originally set for this spring, but currently being rescheduled for the fall.

“I am grateful to be joining Monument Records at this exciting time. It’s thrilling to start this new career chapter combining my programming background to the incredible team led by the most progressive professionals in the business” said Bland. “I can’t wait to leave the house and hit the road with our amazing regional team and dynamic artists to visit each market.”
